Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:

Oversee the company’s cash flow position, ensuring sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations. Manage accounts receivable and payable, monitor vendor settlements, and implement effective strategies for debt recovery.

Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls:

Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations, financial laws, and international accounting standards. Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.

Audit Coordination and Resolution:

Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring financial records are up-to-date and audit-ready. Address and resolve any issues raised by auditors in a timely and professional manner.

Tax Management:

Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate taxes in compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory obligations. Ensure accurate documentation and timely remittance of VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other relevant tax liabilities.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Identify financial risks across various operations and propose risk mitigation strategies. Maintain contingency plans and advise management on fiscal best practices to safeguard against potential financial exposures.

Provide effective leadership to finance and accounting personnel. Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field from a recognized institution.

A professional accounting certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable and will be a strong advantage.
